The Morrison Government has announced it has contributed $10 million of federal funding for the Rivers and Ridges trails network.

This is a significant contribution for Stage 1 of the Rivers and Ridges trails network project and brings the total funding from the Federal Government to $15.3 million.

Stage 1 of this project will deliver:

The Warburton Mountain Bike Destination – Stage 1; The Warburton Community Recreation Precinct; The Yarra Valley Trail – Stage 1; and The Ridge Walk (across the Dandenongs)

With over 160kms of mountain biking, cycling and walking trails, this project will bring untold benefits to our entire region; from the Dandenong Ranges to the Yarra Valley and from the Upper Yarra River to the Warburton Region.

It is estimated that Rivers and Ridges will generate more than 500 direct jobs, inject more than $80 million into the local economy and will continue to make our region one of the premier tourism destinations in Victoria.
