New courts are a hit

In an exciting development for tennis players in Lilydale, a project to resurface two tennis courts at the Lilydale Tennis Club has recently been completed. $20,000 in funding from the Turnbull Government’s Stronger Communities Programme, which was matched by the Club, ensures that all of the Club’s courts are of a similar standard. Lilydale Tennis Club now has the capacity to host regional tournaments.
At the 2016 Federal election I promised improved mobile coverage for Kalorama, Mt Evelyn and Chum Creek. On 5th April 2018 it was announced that the Turnbull Government’s Mobile Black Spot Programme will fund mobile phone towers in each of these towns.
Locals and visitors in Steels Creek, Reefton and McMahons Creek are benefiting from the installation of new mobile phone towers which are part of the Turnbull Government’s $220 million Mobile Black Spot Programme.
The prize winners from the 2018 Casey Anzac Writing Competition were announced in the lead-up to Anzac Day. This year, ten local primary schools participated with ninety students producing a piece of writing addressing the topic “What does Anzac Day mean to me”.

Later this month we’ll pause on Anzac Day to remember those who have served our nation. In 2018, we continue to mark the centenary of the First World War, in particular the battles along the Western Front that turned the tide of the war in favour of the Allies in 1918.

New CCTV cameras at Yarra Glen
