2018 Casey Volunteer Awards

The 2018 Casey Volunteer Awards recognised the service and dedication of hundreds of volunteers in our community. It was an honour to provide certificates of recognition to 7 community groups and 46 individuals. The many thousands of hours of volunteering each year are so vital to our local community.
When you switch on CCTV security cameras, you switch off crime. On Saturday 8 December 2018 a new CCTV camera network in Mooroolbark was launched. CCTV Security cameras both detect and deter crime, helping make our towns and suburbs safer places to live, work and shop.
The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) has recently changed the boundaries for the Casey electorate. Casey has increased in size and now includes all of the Dandenong Ranges. Its boundaries largely mirror those of the Yarra Ranges Council.

The Australian Government is investing $20 million in Volunteer Grants in recognition of the hard work and many hours over 8.7 million volunteers dedicate to not-for-profit organisations. The 2018 Volunteer Grants Program provides funding to support, encourage and increase participation in volunteering in local communities.
