When the Coronavirus pandemic began earlier this year, we all quickly realised how drastically it would change the way we work and live for some time.
Despite the economic challenges, it is as important as ever, that we recognise, reward, and encourage careers in local trades and small businesses.
While many apprentices and trainees have not been able to work normally for some months, we still want to encourage and value excellence in our local apprentices and trainees.
Since 2009, the Casey Apprentice/Trainee of the Year Awards have been doing this.
The apprentices and trainees of today will help form the backbone of our small businesses and local economy into the future.
Nominations for this year’s Awards are now closed
The Awards are judged by an independent panel of prominent local business leaders that is chaired by Phil Munday.
I encourage you to nominate an outstanding local apprentice or trainee for an award via the nomination form (print off, complete and return page 2 of the attached pdf)
Finalists and winners to be announced in late November.
